USPA Demo Jump and skydiving Insurance

For each exhibition, you must complete a Demonstration Jump & Skydiving Insurance Application, and payment must be received at least 7 days before the jump (or series of jumps at the same location on consecutive days) is to begin. The forms must be sent by mail, fax, or email.

A demonstration jump is defined as a jump at a location other than an existing drop zone, done for the purpose of reward, renumeration, or promotion and principally for the benefit of spectators. Competition events and for-profit events sponsored by drop zones do not qualify for demonstration insurance. For the coverage to be valid, each insured jumper must comply with Basic Safety Requirements and the recommendations stated in the Exhibition Jumping and Rating section in the Skydiver’s Information Manual (SIM), as well as those attached hereto.

USPA Demonstration Jump & Skydiving Insurance covers tandem demonstration jumps ONLY if the jump is performed in accordance with the USPA Basic Safety Requirements and FAA regulations. For Open Field and Level 1 landing areas, the student passenger is not required to have any previous skydiving experience. For Level 2 landing areas, the tandem instructor and passenger must BOTH hold a D license and USPA PRO Rating. Tandem jumps into stadiums are prohibited by both the USPA and FAA.
